Kink - Antikink Interactions in the Double Sine - Gordon Equation

As 71 is varied over the range ~ < ~/< ~c, this potential exhibits a variety of structures. Although in later sections we shall discuss these different structures in some detail [2], it is important here to provide a qualitative feeling for them. Clearly, for ~ _+ oo, 'V(~) reduces to a sine-Gordon [SG] form for q~, while for 71 = 0, it leads to a SG form for q~/2. Thus in both these limits the...

Perturbation Theory for the Double–Sine–Gordon Equation

This paper presents the perturbation theory for the double–sine–Gordon equation. We received the system of differential equations that shows the soliton parameters modification under perturbation’s influence. In particular case λ = 0 the results of the research transform into well-known perturbation theory for the sine–Gordon equation.

Generalized solution of Sine-Gordon equation

In this paper, we are interested to study the Sine-Gordon equation in generalized functions theory introduced by Colombeau, in the first we give result of existence and uniqueness of generalized solution with initial data are distributions (elements of the Colombeau algebra). Then we study the association concept with the classical solution.

Homoclinic Orbits in Near-Integrable Double Discrete sine-Gordon Equation

We establish the existence of homoclinic orbits for the near{integrable double discrete sine-Gordon (dDSG) equation under periodic boundary conditions. The hyperbolic structure and homoclinic orbits are constructed through the B acklund transformation and Lax pair. A geometric perturbation method based on Mel'nikov analysis is used to establish necessary criteria for the persistent of temporal...
